Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about China visas, tours, business travel and Canton Fair support before you book with Le Sween Holidays.

01

Do I need a visa to travel to China from India?

Yes, Indian passport holders need a visa to enter mainland China. We handle the full application for you — invitation letters, documentation checklists and appointment booking — through our China Visa service, so most clients only need to submit their passport and photos.

02

How far in advance should I book my China tour?

We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks ahead for standard tour packages, and 8–10 weeks ahead for Canton Fair season (April & October) or Chinese New Year, when hotels and flights fill up quickly. Custom itineraries and factory visits also need extra lead time for on-ground scheduling.

03

What's the best time of year to visit China?

Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) offer the most comfortable weather across most destinations. Summer suits Harbin and northern China, while winter is ideal for Harbin's Ice Festival. If you're travelling for the Canton Fair, your dates are set by the fair's April and October sessions.

04

Can you create a fully customised itinerary instead of a fixed package?

Absolutely — Customised Tours are one of our specialities. Tell us your destinations, travel dates, budget and interests (culture, business, food, shopping) and we'll design a private itinerary with your choice of hotels, transport and guides.

05

Do you assist with Canton Fair visits and business meetings?

Yes. Our Canton Fair and Business Travel services cover fair registration support, hotel bookings near the venue, interpreters, local transport and factory-visit coordination through our Factory Visits and China Markets programmes.

06

What's included in your tour packages?

Most Tour Packages include hotel stays, daily breakfast, airport and intercity transfers, an English-speaking guide, and entry tickets to the listed attractions. Flights, visa fees and personal expenses are typically quoted separately so you can see exactly what you're paying for.

07

Is it difficult to travel in China if I don't speak Mandarin?

Not with us. Every group and custom tour includes an English-speaking guide, and business trips can be arranged with a dedicated interpreter for factory visits and supplier negotiations. Our China Travel Guide also has practical language tips for getting around on your own.

08

What payment methods do you accept, and is a deposit required?

We accept bank transfer, UPI and major cards. A deposit is required to confirm hotel and flight bookings, with the balance due before travel; the exact split depends on your package and travel dates. Get in touch for a formal quote with the payment schedule.

09

Can you arrange group tours for families, friends or colleagues?

Yes, we regularly organise group travel for families, friend groups and corporate teams, with group pricing on hotels and transport. Larger groups also get a dedicated coordinator on the ground throughout the trip.

10

What if my plans change or I need to cancel?

We understand plans shift. Reach out as early as possible — many bookings can be rescheduled, and cancellation terms depend on how far out you are from travel and the airline/hotel policies involved. We'll always walk you through the options before you decide.
